Who’s Who- The Startup List (1st edition)

The most difficult part of media relations is knowing who to reach out to. The most annoying part of PR (for the journalist) are those people that don’t do their research and reach out to the right reporters. So we, at The Silver Telegram, decided to do some of the legwork for you in our Who’s Who series and will be posting key industry reporters every Monday.

This week, TST put together our list of 10 startup reporters (1st list of many) you should reach out to. Note that even if they are a “startup” reporter, they may cover a specific type of startup (ie. Sean O’Kane covers transportation startups). In addition, there may be several reporters at the same outlet that report on startups as well.

Make sure you have done some research on their areas of interest, previous articles and even check out their twitter profiles before reaching out. For some tips on how to make the most of your outreach, take a look at our blog post “Pitching Journalists: 5 Tips to remember” before you send your pitch. Happy Pitching and good luck.
